A short buying checklist for the power, mounting and storage details that can change your complete setup cost.
Power and control
List every item’s power source and supplied adapter. Check the manufacturer’s instructions before choosing extensions, timers or controllers; some effects do not restart automatically when power returns. Do not assume a smart plug provides the same control as the product’s own remote.
Mounting and anchoring
Measure the installed footprint, including stakes, guy lines and any support base. Confirm what is supplied and which surfaces the mounting hardware suits. Yard photography alone does not establish a weather rating.
Consumables and small extras
Budget for the exact specified batteries and fog fluid, plus any separately sold remote or speaker. Check whether costume photos include wigs, shoes or props that are not in the box.
Storage and the next season
Keep assembly instructions and labeled small parts with the product. Follow its drying and cleaning directions before packing. Compare the stored size and whether an additional protective container is needed.
Before checking out
Recheck the selected model, seller, delivery date and return terms. Price the whole scene, including shipping and required extras, rather than just the main character.
